“The Truth is everything we have dreamed, everything we have lived, everything we have invented, everything which makes up our memories”. It is in this note, written who knows when by his wife in a pocketbook, thatDaniele Finzi Pasca finds the meaning of the title. In it he combines acrobatics, dance and music, with the involvement of 13 artists gathered around a gigantic backdrop painted by Salvador Dalì in the ‘40s in New York for the ballet Tristan Fou.
“A European art collection – explains Finzi Pasca – contacted us to propose the backdrop for a production. An original Dalì on the stage? Huge and beautiful, it’s breathtaking …”.
The idea of the performance was developed around this unique work of art, a surreal story of “hands with very long fingers, shadows which distort proportion, blood red, white, the blue of Maria’s cape, stairways suspended in mid-air, impossible equilibriums, feathers and sequins which evoke the atmosphere of a decadent vaudeville whose director is looking for ideas to improve the prospects of the company”. It is an acrobatic and surreal poem born from the vision of a creative group with a unique signature.
