Balletto Civile has created an installation made up of 10 stations. A protected space, halfway between a showcase and a greenhouse, where the solo dancers perform their story behind a small Plexiglass partition, a story made up of men and women who have dedicated their bodies to dance.

“Citizens without a state” is the common theme of the 20th edition of Tramedautore, which this year focuses on Italy and Italian artists, with a small international section including brand/new short texts by foreign writers.
“Even though this year will be characterised by a more intimate feel - write the organisers - the Festival will still be bringing together writers and artists who have shared this journey for so long, together with the various institutions that have accompanied them, first and foremost the Piccolo Teatro. Twenty years on, we still believe that the theatre can play an important role in metabolising the contemporary, in spreading knowledge and in promoting the growth of a community that we want to see increasingly diverse and inclusive”.

Balletto Civile has created an installation composed of the stories of men and women who have dedicated their bodies to the sacred alter of Dance.
The bodies are held in a protected space, a place that is midway between a showcase and a greenhouse, where creative thought has exploded. Each chapter is a detonation, each chapter is an attempt at exposition, a unique work.
They are all united by a symphony that plays like a secular prayer, a common background from which emerge the music, words and song as if in an orchestral score.
The spectator is invited to be part of this anthropological experiment of studies into human materials.

Balletto Civile is a collective of performers that was founded in 2003 by Michela Lucenti. The company is characterised by its study into a totally scenic language, favouring interaction between theatre, dance, original live singing and the profound relationship between the performers. The group won the 2017 Danza&Danza Award for best Italian production, the 2010 and 2012 ANCT Award, and the 2016 Hystrio-Corpo a Corpo Award.
