“Corraini in Piccolo” is the Piccolo Teatro’s new bookshop in the Chiostro Nina Vinchi.
In reality, this meeting between Corraini Edizioni and the world of the theatre was already written in the publishing house’s logo: the Giosetta Fioroni theatre re-designed by Bruno Munari.
This meeting now has a location: Corraini in Piccolo, the Piccolo Teatro’s new bookshop which open in the Chiostro Nina Vinchi, at the historical Teatro Grassi in via Rovello.
After the inauguration, the bookshop will be open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday,12 am to 8 pm. For information: tel: +39 02.72.333.504 - firstname.lastname@example.org
Corraini in Piccolo is the seventh of the Corraini bookshops - present in Mantova, Milan, Bologna, Turin and Berlin -, each one characterised by a specific identity in line with the surrounding context and an autonomous cultural project.
This same spirit will animate the new bookshop, which will propose a carefully selected range of national and international publications dedicated to the theatre, without forgetting publications on art and design, photography, books for children and furnishings, in a dynamic and ever-changing space, with a continuous offering of exhibitions, meetings, workshops (also for children), and ever-changing displays which will follow the progress of the current theatrical season.
The bond between the Piccolo and Corraini focuses on the particularity of a proposal for an aver wider-ranging audience which marries the founding values of our theatre, its vocation as an “art theatre for all” with the identity of the publishing house, an “editorial workshop” open to a research which unites high quality and artisan knowledge with the lightness and simplicity of language. We are bound to Corraini through a deep-rooted shared vision for rendering as accessible as possible the instruments of knowledge, instruments which are not only attractive and useful for enthusiasts and the curious, but also for those who are apparently far removed from the sharing of the “word” of the theatre and of books.
