ASK ME ANYTHING
Ask Me Anything, the format created by On Air, the cultural association established to celebrate the role of pure, human and social sciences, returns to the Piccolo for the third year running.
A series of pre-show encounters at the theatre bar to further examine the themes of a number of theatrical works through an innovative and engaging approach. Every evening the format, dedicated to all generations, seeks to further awareness of scientific themes, experimenting with yet-unexplored communication techniques in an informal and friendly atmosphere together with professors, scientists and educators.
No preprogrammed talk, just you and your questions. On Air provides you with a pen and paper so that you can fly your questions onto the stage, transforming them into paper planes or origami. From biodiversity to quantum physics, from chemistry to mathematics and history, seven monthly events accompany the 2025/26 season Complemento di relazione.

La lettura che allena il cervello: uno sguardo neuroscientifico
We often hear that “reading is good for the brain”, but how is it beneficial, and why? How can we make reading a healthy habit? Perché l’adolescenza è l’adolescenza?
School classrooms are microcosms in which sentimental dynamics and complex relationships take shape. What makes these places so important? Can we examine them through the lens of psychology to understand what makes adolescence such a delicate yet fundamental phase? In this session, we focused on the transformations that characterise adolescence: a period of intense construction of identity that brings forth relationships and social dynamics that profoundly influence the lives of adolescents.

Prima del Temporale
Tempo al tempo
We all have our own concept of time, but no-one is truly able to define it. In physics, time is one of the most complex properties: it changes, stretches and contracts. What, “truly”, is time? What does classic mechanics, relativity and modern physics tell us about it? Why does it have such an important role in studying our world? An exploration of scientific discoveries and profound questions, studying one of the most fascinating and mysterious concepts in physics.

Escaped Alone
Il corpo che cambia: capire l’invecchiamento
What happens to our organism with the passing of the years? Why do certain conditions emerge more frequently with age? In this discussion, we will be exploring the biological processes that govern ageing, examining what happens to the body with the passage of time and whether there is any sense – and if so, in which cases – in trying to understand the mechanisms and contrast its effects. An open discussion on the changing body and on what ageing means nowadays.

Orgasmo
Parliamo di Sesso
It is still difficult to speak about pleasure, relationships and sexuality in an open and taboo-free manner. What does psychology and sexology tell us about the role of pleasure in people’s lives? Why is awareness through sentimental and sexual education so important? How can we build safe and informed relationships? A discussion to reflect on desire, well-being and taboos to overcome.

La vegetariana
Veg e vegan: cosa dice la scienza?
An increasing number of people are adopting a vegetarian or vegan diet for ethical, social or environmental reasons. But what does science have to say about this? Are they correct and complete diets? Can they be considered valid alternatives to an omnivorous diet? Are we made to nourish ourselves like this? During this encounter, we will be examining vegetarian or vegan dietary choices from a scientific point of view, shedding light on their implications in terms of health, mental stability and society.
