Rafaela Carrasco, winner of the Premio Nacional de Danza 2023, and her company use dance, music and poetry to explore the contradictions of the night.
Teatro Strehler
The night changes, shifts and moves: it is pure movement.
Hoy seguimos sus pasos. Hoy bailamos hasta amanecer.
A piano, a voice and bodies in motion, in an endless journey from dusk to dawn, evoking the mysteries of sensation, conscience and memory. Nocturna is an incredible dance, musical and poetic exploration of the significant themes and contradictions generated by the night, seen with the lucidity and the hallucination of those who remain awake and who cannot sleep, while recalling the night as a mystical experience and a visionary journey, as well as, on the contrary, as a game: a playful ritual of confused identity. This dark mirror provides humankind with a reflection of its greatest questions, formulated by Rafaela Carrasco through flamenco with this hypnotic show in which dance, flamenco and choreography reach heights of unexpected choreographic complexity and physical effort.
On stage, 7 performers of flamenco and Spanish dance, in a moving sound space that draws inspiration from the Goldberg variations by J.S. Bach.
Monday 16 June, 7pm | Teatro Strehler – Scatola Magica
Tertulia
