L’École des Maîtres is an advanced theater education project created by Franco Quadri in 1990. The educational objective of École des Maîtres is to create and nourish relationships between young actresses and actors – who have already graduated from schools and academies of dramatic arts around Europe and who are professionally active – and renouned directors from across the international scene. The project produces an opportunity for dialogue and for the exchange of directorial practices, beginning with texts and languages – both linguistic and artistic – through itinerant workshops across Europe.
Leading the XXXIV edition of École des Maîtres is French director Nathalie Béasse. The title of the course is Epopee intime – che i nostri racconti diventino paesaggi epici.
XXXIV EDITION LOCATIONS
The course begins on August 24 at Villa Manin di Passariano di Codroipo (Udine) and continues with workshops and public presentations on each leg of the project: Milan from September 2 to 6, Coimbra from September 7 to 12, Reims from September 13 to 19, and Angers from September 20 to 24.
This year, twelve participants will be selected, with four from each partner country of École des Maîtres, with an emphasis on diversity of gender, ethnicity, and culture.
