The athletic sequence of the performers from the Parini Secondo collective turns the sport of jump rope into a hypnotic performance: “the pounding rhythm of the rope and the echo of rebellion against the forces that seek to still us, thrown to the ground with our eyes closed.”

Single-under, side-swing, double-under: the athletic sequence for the performers of the Parini Secondo collective – associated artists at the Piccolo – draws on the grammar of sports training, expressing – in the open space of the Chiostro Nina Vinchi – an astounding danced score interwoven with the obsessive rhythm of electronic music. HIT OUT – resulting from the collaboration with the musician and sound designer Bienoise and from an intense physical preparation course – transforms the sporting discipline of jump rope into a choreographic gesture and a percussion instrument, capable of generating unexpected possibilities for timbre. On stage, the four performers – Sissj Bassani, Martina Piazzi, Camilla Neri, Francesca Pizzagalli, create a hypnotic and precise physical script, a continuous flow of movement, rhythm and synthesisers: a true hit.
