Choreography by the grand masters of the past and present, in an exploration of varying styles, are entrusted to the talent and passion of pupils from the Accademia Teatro alla Scala Ballet School directed by Frédéric Olivieri.
After The Nutcracker, staged in December 2025, the pupils of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala Ballet School return to the Teatro Strehler for the traditional show, which provides them with an opportunity to perform exerts from the most well-known and challenging of ballets, from the classic repertoire, as well as more contemporary styles.
It is an evening which involves all the courses, involving the pupils in choreography of ever-increasing technical and interpretative difficulty, in which they express themselves to the best of their ability. The course of preparation offered by the Scala Ballet School in fact provides the opportunity to further study various ballet and dance styles by allowing pupils to become familiar with the roles that they will find themselves taking on during their professional careers.
The encounter with the great masters of past and present can only serve to enhance what they have already achieved; the names Balanchine, Béjart, Ek, Forsythe, Kylián, Petit and Preljocaj represent the range of skills that the pupils are called on to learn and perfect during their studies.
