I ragazzi del massacro, based on the novel of the same name by Giorgio Scerbanenco, is a play about justice and the need to pursue the truth even when everyone is convinced of the contrary. It is the story of a teacher assassinated by eleven of her night-school pupils on a day in May 1968.
It is the story of a man who goes beyond appearances, a lone voice, that of Duca Lamberti, who is not looking for a monster with which to make headlines, but who believes that justice lies above all convenience. The murder takes place amidst the unrest of 1968, with its demonstrations, occupations and clashes in the streets. A small story within an important moment in history. A human story which belongs to all that humanity which believes that truth is a precious necessity and justice is the victory of the human race against barbarity.
