Tramedautore 2019 is an examination of Euro-Mediterranean culture, intrinsically plural, creating a festival of performance that examines the rules of cohabitation, helping to reconstruct horizons and overcome solitude. Among the proposals from Italy, a focus on Sicilian drama, while on the international front the festival lends a voice to one of the most interesting artists from Kosovo and a multilingual conference/show.
As well as the shows, at the Chiostro, a cycle of 10 events, Camp degli Autori. Click here for the complete programme.
La classe. Ritratto di uno di noi
The project that was created as part of the Bellini Teatro Factory and that enthralled audiences and critics alike at the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia in 2018. Fourteen young actors prepare a play on Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist who killed 77 of his fellow Norwegians in 2011. We spy on them - during rehearsals, in discussions - laughing at their superficiality, and we follow them as they try to examine an incomprehensible subject. La classe demonstrates the collective quality of acting, the surprising literary maturity of Francesco Ferrara in his first work for the stage, and the powerful poetic energy of this generation of twenty-somethings.
Francesco Ferrara (1985) following his degree in Modern Literature and a Master in Dramaturgy and Cinematography, has been an apprentice playwright at the Factory in the Teatro Bellini in Naples since 2017. He is the assistant to the director Gabriele Russo for the plays Tito, re-written by Michele Santeramo as part of the Globe(a)l Shakespeare, and L’Ultimo Decamerone, written by Stefano Massini. February 2019 saw the staging of Look Like, which he wrote, directed by Salvatore Cutrì.
