For the second date of the Milano Flamenco Festival 2026, winner of the Premio Nacional de Danza Manuel Liñán explores the freedom of the human body in flamenco dance, transcends the boundaries of masculine and femenine and transforming bailaor into a fluid, vibrant, and revolutionary space.
Liberating the human body from gender binaries, Manuel Liñán explores the categories of masculine and femenine in flamenco, transforming the figure of the bailaor into a fluid, vibrant, playful, and revolutionary territory in which costumes, designed by Ernesto Artillo, aid the dramaturgy.
In Bailaor@, his latest show, Liñán is the only protagonist, accompanied by five cantaores and a guitar player. A show that is not only a performance, but an act of artistic and political self-determination, a work that interrogates tradition and its rigidity.
