The collaboration continues between MITO SettembreMusica and the Piccolo, this time in the name of Dmitrij Shostakovich, whose 15 quartets are presented by the young musicians of the Eliot Quartett through six concerts held in both Milan and Turin. An authentic musical journey to explore the evolution in style of the composer and the tensions that characterised his era.

In six concerts between Milan and Turin, the young musicians of the Eliot Quartett present the 15 quartets for strings by Dmitrij Shostakovich, offering an authentic exploration of music through the evolution in style of the composer and the tensions that characterised his era. These compositions combine irony, drama and lyricism, with a language that alternates between tone and dissonance. The various quartets combine to offer an intimate and profoundly introspective portrait of the artist, presenting all his Russian folklore influences and his embrace of the avant-garde.
Now in its nineteenth edition, MITO SettembreMusica continues its collaboration with the Piccolo, this time organising its programme at the original theatre in Via Rovello.
