Synopsis
There is a provincial town, a man, a mother who falls ill. And then the distance, the loneliness, the lack: all things that in some way unfortunately we are experiencing. A provincial town, a man, a mother: everything is very common, apart from the trees.

Biography

Michele Ruol (Chicago, 1986) is a doctor and playwright. He works with the Amor Vacui company, with which he contributed to the writing of Domani mi alzo presto (special mention at Giovani Realtà del Teatro, 2016), Intimità (Special mention at the Scenario Award 2017) and Tutta la vita (2020). In 2015 he was the joint winner of the competition “Theatrical stories of war and peace” organised by the Teatro Stabile del Veneto with Il solito ignoto. In 2017 he received a special mention at the Hystrio Playwriting Award for Mater certa. In 2018 he was among the writers chosen for Network Drammaturgia Nuova and won the Hystrio Playwriting Award with Lea R. He has published stories in the collections Il vento del futuro, Marsilio Editori (2005), Giovani Cosmetici, Sartorio Editore (2008), L’amore ai tempi dell’Apocalisse, Galaad Edizioni (2015), and in the literary magazines inutile (2017) and effe - Periodico di Altre Narratività (2019).
