Absolute Beginners – C’è sempre una prima volta (in platea) is the new audience regeneration project aimed at all those coming into contact with the Piccolo for the first time. 

In the wake of the experience of the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II of Lisbon, the Piccolo is opening its doors to a new community of spectators who, for the most diverse of reasons, have never had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of a theatre. The project, open to all citizens regardless of age or background, offers the opportunity to explore the areas of the theatre –  from behind the scenes to the tailoring workshop, to meet the stage actors and to see three different plays from a selection of three possible itineraries:

Absolute Beginners seeks to overcome the stereotypes related to the enjoyment of culture, and above all demonstrate how the theatre still has the capacity to speak to us of the world that surrounds us and serve as a living space, a place of sharing and exchange. A new theatre for a new world, to be explored with a gaze that is both aware and restless, for an unforgettable first experience.
