In 2022 the Milan Flamenco Festival is celebrating 15 years of programming with a specific goal; to move, amaze, inspire and construct. FUTURO DENTRO (future inside) is the common thread that binds the three shows that is taking place place on 20, 22 and 24 June on the stage of the Teatro Strehler. In this vision/sensation of the future, there is space for a form of flamenco with a different character, one that is seeking to establish itself as an art among the arts, to boldly express its power and potential and aim right for the spectator; research and combination with contemporary gesturality, dialogue with electronic music, and scenographic innovation, all with a view to conquering dynamics that place flamenco in a different light without robbing it of its essence. 
On 22 June, Alfonso Losa, with the special participation of Concha Jareño, is presenting FLAMENCO: ESPACIO CREATIVO. An elegant choreographic work directed by Estévez & Paños (Premio Nacional de danza 2019) in which flamenco is seen as a creative space in which to harmoniously bring together tradition and the Avant Garde, a re-examination of style, rhythm and music. The show recently earned the Premio de la Critica 2022 in the most recent edition of the Festival de Jerez.
FLAMENCO: ESPACIO CREATIVO is a journey through flamenco which is born of reflections, exchanges and debates on the distinct concepts and views (boundaries, limits, roots, experimentation) that revolve around flamenco, an art capable of being reborn, of reinventing itself, constantly growing and adapting to each and every person, body and experience. Estévez&Paños have created for the talented and versatile Alfonso Losa a suite of dance, cante and musica capable of embracing the various forms of flamenco, at times gentle, at times essential and austere, at times fluid or cubist, the result of sentiment, introspection, effort, illusion, and balance between the present moment and future perspectives. Flamenco as a language, a dialect for storytelling.
