The day comes in a small community where the chosen one will be sacrificed to the Gods. A show, a tribal ritual, begins, full of jostling and blows below the belt, in which people fake alliances, elect social roles, proclaim themselves to be leaders and point out scapegoats with the aim of prevailing over others and surviving.
Sarcastic and strong in character, the piece presents a fait accompli, freely inspired by Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, a dance contaminated with the spoken word, song and figure theatre.
A reflection on contemporary society, on ourselves, on our relationship with power and the trust we place in it.
